For Hair Restoration:
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) for Hair Loss is now the latest trend in hair regrowth and hair loss treatment. PRP therapy for men’s and women’s hair loss is becoming more and more common and is proving to be effective in correcting hair loss.
Even though PRP Therapy has been around since the 1980’s for other indications, doctors have more recently harnessed the natural benefit of your own blood-derived growth factors to help hair thinning and loss. Many user experiences have noted good results and the popularity of the procedure is growing rapidly. Dr. Gilmore has long been a fan of PRP for hair rejuvenation, and has been doing treatments in the office for nearly a decade!
PRP for hair loss is a non-surgical procedure that utilizes the stem cells and growth factors from the patient’s own blood to trigger the growth of hair from resting or miniaturized hair follicles. The first step involves drawing the patient’s blood, then the blood is spun down in a centrifuge which will separate the platelets from the rest of the blood. The final product is plasma that is highly concentrated levels of your body's own growth factors, which are then injected back into the scalp.
While treatment plans vary, a series of 3 treatments spaced one month apart each is generally a good starting protocol.

PRF is used to address many of the same issues as PRP, but PRF releases growth factors for much longer, up to one week, versus PRP which releases growth factors for a few hours. This means that PRF has longer-term benefits when introduced to a specific area. The growth factors are what stimulate the stem cells to improve collagen and elastin in the skin. The results are faster and more robust than PRP infusion. The skin under the eyes is one of the thinnest skin on our body. It can be one of the first areas that show signs of aging. PRF is one of the ideal treatments that improves this area, as it not only addresses volume loss but also dark circles, textural issues such as crepiness, as well as hollow appearance. But why stop there? In addition to the tear trough area, PRF injections can yield the same benefit for any other combination of facial areas, sometimes referred to as The Vampire Face Lift. Areas such as Nasolabial folds, cheeks, midface, lips and more can all be benefited by PRF injections!
This is often best in a series of treatments once a month, which will allow the benefit to build over time. One to three sessions depending on degree of volume loss may be recommended. This month schedule your session and save $50 on Tear Trough injections, and $250 on a Vampire Face Lift.
